In 2008 we were introduced to Tony Stark, a wealthy industrialist who built an armored suit for protection after a life threatening incident. When Stark decided to use his armored suit to combat evil, a new superhero was born- Iron Man! With over 1 Billion dollars in North American Box Office Sales, Iron Man has become a household franchise that has since spawned two sequels- Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3. The latter makes its big debut this week as the headliner in group of ten total new releases. Here is a brief synopsis of each;

Iron Man 3: starring Robert Downey Jr.- After Tony Stark’s world is torn apart by a terrorist, he begins a quest of rebuilding, retribution and revenge. (Action/Adventure) (DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Redemption: starring Jason Statham – Homeless and on the run from a military court martial, a troubled soldier assumes another man’s identity, takes a job with a criminal organization, and falls for a nun who helps him get his life back together. Kings of Summer: starring Nick Offerman – After a falling out with their parents, a group of three teenage friends run away and build a house in the middle of the woods where they plan to spend the summer. (Drama) (DVD)
Blood of Redemption: starring Dolph Lundgren and Billy Zane – In the course of one night, a powerful man loses everything after being set-up and arrested for a crime he did not commit. Citizen Jane: starring Ally Sheedy and Sean Patrick Flannery – A woman is enjoying a comfortable life in an upscale neighborhood with her charming boyfriend Tom. That is until she learns that her aunt has been murdered- and her boyfriend Tom is the main suspect. Struggling to cope with the news, the woman makes it her mission to learn the truth about the murder. Based on a True Story. (Crime) (DVD)
Family Weekend: starring Kristin Chenoweth – A teenage girl takes her parents hostage after they forget to attend her jump-rope competition. (Comedy) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
I Spit on Your Grave 2– After a model accepts a seemingly innocent offer to have new photos taken for her portfolio, she is kidnapped and subjected to rape and torture. Now she must find the strength to track down and exact revenge on those responsible for her horrific ordeal. (Horror) (DVD)
Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit– In order to keep his promise to an aging kung fu master, Fu the rabbit teams up with some friends to go on a heroic quest to defeat an arch-nemesis and save their kung fu academy from peril. (Family/Kids) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Unfinished Song: starring Terrence Stamp – A grumpy widower honors his recently deceased wife’s passion for performing by joining the choir to which she used to belong, a process which ultimately leads him to change his stubborn ways. (Drama) (DVD)
