MARATHON, ON – Once again, Karen Richard is organizing Trick or Eat. Volunteers will be going door to door on Halloween night to collect non-perishable food items for the local food bank. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Karen Richard at 229-0333. High school students can even earn volunteer hours by participating!

Volunteers should meet between 5 – 5:30pm at the Marathon Town Hall where they will:

  • be provided with bags and have their route and driver confirmed,
  • be given coupons for the Community Police Association BBQ,
  • have their name will be entered for prizes.

Canvassing will be complete by 8pm or earlier. Those not able/interested in collecting can help by having a few non-perishable food items ready for the volunteers visiting door-to-door. Volunteers will only come to your home once.

Approximately $11,000.00 worth of food was collected in Marathon last year [CLICK HERE to read that story/view photos]. Richards and volunteers are eager to see if they can match that goal again this year!
