New Physician Recruit to the Marathon Family Health Team

MARATHON, ON – The Marathon Family Health Team is pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr. Jessica Robinson to Marathon!
Dr. Robinson was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario. She obtained her medical degree from University of Western Ontario and trained in general surgery from the University of Ottawa for 3 years. She then continued to further her education and was accepted into the Family Medicine program at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in Thunder Bay where she recently graduated in September of 2013.
Dr. Robinson completed her residency in Marathon this year.

Dr. Robinson’s new husband Scott is an Exploration Geologist and has also joined her in Marathon. Dr. Robinson stated that the physician group and support team within the clinic and hospital, numerous recreational activities, as well as the welcome she received from within the community were her main reasons for selecting Marathon as the place to establish her full time practice.
Dr. Newbery says “The physician group are really excited to welcome Dr. Robinson to our community and our practice. She brings a unique skills set that will be a great addition to the care that we can provide to the people that our clinic and hospital serve. We are so glad she has chosen to join us!”
