Where has the year gone? Christmas and New Years are right around the corner and it’s shocking to think that 2013 is already coming to an end. It has been a year filled with big movies and games as well as new innovations in the gaming industry (ie. the new PS4 and XBOX One). As is most often the case this time of the year, it is a busy week for new releases as studios scramble to release their big titles in time for Christmas.
There are nine new releases in total with a brief synopsis of each below;

Lone Ranger: starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer – The tale of John Reid, the Lone Ranger as he rides with his brother and fellow Texas Rangers in pursuit of a notorious criminal. (Adventure/Western) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
The Family: starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer -After snitching on their clan, a mafia family is placed in witness protection in a small town near Paris, France. Prisoners: starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal – When a man’s daughter and her friend go missing, he takes matters into his own hands as the police pursue multiple leads in the twist-filled case. Kick-Ass 2: starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jim Carrey – High-school superhero Kick-Ass joins forces with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters: starring Logan Lerman – In order to restore their dying safe haven, the son of Poseidon and his friends embark on a quest to the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece while trying to prevent an ancient evil from rising. Cottage Country: A man tries to cover up and move on after accidentally killing his sibling at the family cottage where he plans to propose to his girlfriend. (Comedy) (DVD)
Force of Execution: starring Steven Seagal and Danny Trejo – The story of a crime lord torn between his legacy and his desire to get out of the life of crime that has built his empire, just as a new foe tries to use his network to climb to power.
