TERRACE BAY, ON – On the afternoon of January 27, 2014 the students, staff, and parents of St. Martin School celebrated Family Literacy Day.  This event began with two teachers, Dave Mauro and Mary Keyter, reading a lively rendition of “50 Below Zero” to staff, students, and parents.  The students’ then moved into their ‘School Families’ and travelled to stations where they participated with other ‘School Families’ in  Story Character Charades, Catch Phrase/Pictionary, Headbanz and Word Play where they used the phrase ‘Reading is Fun’.  The winners of the Word Play competition were Mr. Mauro’s team with an extraordinary 61 words!

A Love of Reading is definitely alive and can be seen by everyone in the halls and rooms of St. Martin School!
