Male Arrested For Break And Enter in Marathon

oppcolourMARATHON ON – Thursday March 20th, 2014, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marathon detachment received a call for an alarm at the Marathon Center Mall.

Officers attended the area and located a male exiting the rear of the building from an access door to the Marathon Drug Associates.  

Joseph C. WAWIA, age 32, from Valley East, Sudbury, ON was charged with:

  • Theft under $5000
  • Break and Enter a Place-with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession Break in Instruments

The male was arrested, charged and held for a show cause hearing. He was remanded into custody and transferred to the Thunder Bay District Jail to be held until his next court appearance.
