Save the Date! MCAG Share the Care Walk & BBQ Approaching

MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group has announced Saturday, May 10th as the date of their annual Share the Care fundraising walk. The walk, and BBQ, have become a tradition for many, a wonderful way to celebrate the arrival of Spring and see the friends and neighbours you’ve had fewer opportunities to connect with during what has been a very cold and snowy winter.

There are different ways to participate in the Share the Care fundraiser:
- Print a pledge sheet (CLICK HERE) and have people sponsor you with donations
- Sponsor someone who is collecting pledges;
- Donate any amount at the event and walk any portion of the 5km
- Donate at the event, socialize and cheer on those doing the 5km
- Donate in advance to any of the MCAG members (listed below)
Share the Care is a very important fundraiser for the MCAG, last year, in spite of frigid, wet weather, funds collected nearly doubled those of previous years: 2011 – $3,500+; 2012 – $3,000+; 2013 – $5,600+!! MCAG organizers are hoping that 2014 will be the best Share the Care fundraiser yet to ensure they can continue assisting locals faced with the challenge of a cancer diagnosis.
Mark your calendar now! Saturday, May 10th : 11am – 1pm you’re invited to enjoy the MCAG Share the Care 5km Walk and BBQ!
How else can you help? CLICK HERE to print a poster you can post in the at work, on your fridge at home or at your church to help spread the word. If you aren’t collecting pledges yourself, please give generously to someone who is and be sure to join us for plenty of fun at the BBQ!
