TYLER’s TOP TARDY-TITLES

This week might be an ideal opportunity to get caught up on some excellent movies that you may have missed from week’s past. May we suggest:

Fruitvale Station: A tense and emotional true story about a young man who is ruthlessly shot by police in a subway station. One of my personal favorite movies of the year so far.

Homefront: Jason Statham’s movies are typically fairly one dimensional- plenty of explosions, car chases and loud noises. This one offers an actual storyline with characters that you actually care about. Although there was plenty of action, and the occasional explosion, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would recommend it!

12 Years a Slave: The Academy Award Winner for Best Picture and for good reason. Brilliantly acted, emotionally gripping and a genuinely well told story. The subject matter (pertaining to slavery) is a bit sensitive, but it’s a story that must be told.

Dallas Buyers Club: Another Academy Award favorite and if you watch it you’ll know why. Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto give some of the best performances you’ll ever see in a movie. The story itself is very interesting and, although the main character is a bit unsavory, you can’t help but root for him in his efforts.

Jamesy Boy: A smaller title that you may have missed. Newcomer Spencer Lofranco gives a breakout performance as a young man who can’t seem to stay out of trouble. When he meets the girl of his dreams and decides to settle down, his past comes back to haunt him. What made this movie all the more interesting is the fact that it’s a true story!

Escape Plan: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone? It couldn’t possibly be any good could it? Well it actually is! Customers agree as well. Call it a guilty pleasure but this movie, with all of  its plot holes, is fast-paced, action packed and thoroughly entertaining. A perfect movie for when you don’t feel like thinking too hard.

FOR THE GAMERS

Looking ahead to May, there are several games that will appeal to gamers of all ages. Some titles to make note of, watch for, or PRE-ORDER include;

  • Mario Kart 8 (WII-U),
  • Watchdogs (all platforms),
  • Mario Golf (3DS), Minecraft (PS3)
  • Wolfenstein New Order (PS3, PS4, 360 and ONE).

Call us today to pre-order any of these great titles!

Have a safe week and don’t forget to support your local businesses!
