Canada’s Public Health – Mercer’ll Take Care Of It (video)

It seems popular Canadian Comedian Rick Mercer is now responsible, not only for educating the general public regarding politics and what kind of shaningans the government is up to while we’re not paying close enough attention (you know, because the legislative channel is so dull), but he’s also been left to convince parents to immunize their children. The growing, and scary, trend of passing up the opportunity to protect kids from life threatening illnesses thanks to, what are in Canada, publicly available (FREE) immunizations, has opened our country to the possible threat of people becoming seriously ill, or even dying, from serious, infectious viral diseases like the measles.
Come on people, there are enough dangers in 2015 over which you have no control and from which you are completely unable to protect your children! Kids can be spared the discomfort (and in some cases risk of fatalities) caused by viral diseases like measles, mumps, rubella, and these days, even chicken pox with a simple immunization schedule which all Canadians have access to, if you’re not sure how to have your baby immunized or if you originally planned to pass on immunization but have since realized just how important it is, contact your local health unit for information about how to proceed.
