NOSP Announces Walk-In Sevices in Nipigon

NOSP – Nipigon Site “Walk-In Clinic”

NIPIGON, ON – Shannon Cormier, Executive Director of North of Superior Counselling Programs (NOSP), is pleased to announce the launch of a “Walk-in Counselling Clinic” in the Nipigon Service Area, starting Wednesday February 10, 2016.

Cormier shares, “The NOSP Walk-in Counselling Clinic is free of charge and open to anyone in the Nipigon Service area. The Walk-in Counselling Clinic is a ‘single session’ evidence-based support service for people struggling with life issues or problems and want someone to talk to.”

Although no referral or appointment is necessary, the Clinic is on a “First Come, First Serve” basis. Sessions are scheduled for up to 90 minutes each with no commitment to return for ongoing service. “The NOSP Walk-in Counselling Clinic is available to anyone wanting or needing someone to talk to. It is our hope that this new service will help reduce wait times and increase access.” says Cormier.

The Nipigon Walk-in Counselling Clinic will be open every Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm on a first come, first serve basis at the NOSP office – 16 Front Street.
