MANITOUWADGE, ON – May 23, 2016 as Northwestern Ontario forest fires lead to the closure of Highway 17 (primary exit) and Highway 11 (secondary exit). Manitouwadge, Ontario residents line up for hours to get gas (in spite of the lack of available exits from the community) as concerns spread regarding possibilities of evacuation (though the Ontario Provincial Police made efforts to assure those waiting for gas that there was no evacuation foreseen).

In the video below, OntarioNewsNorth.com Editor, Karina Hunter, speaks with some of those who were waiting in the queue to the gas station.
