Greenstone OPP Community Street Crime Unit Executes Warrant

GREENSTONE, ON – On April 24, 2018, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a Longlac, Ontario residence.

The OPP Greenstone Detachment’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) had been conducting an investigation into the trafficking of Methamphetamine within the Municipality of Greenstone. As a result of this investigation, the CSCU, with assistance from the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and local Greenstone officers, safely executed the search warrant and seized a quantity of Methamphetamine and marihuana.

[Edited](A female) age 28, of Longlac, Ontario, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance, – Methamphetamine – contrary to section 4 (1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams, contrary to section 4 (1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking, contrary to section 145 (3) of the Criminal Code

The accused currently has other outstanding drug related offences before the courts.

She was held at the Greenstone OPP detachment for a video bail hearing on the morning of April 25, 2018, and will appear next in Longlac Court on May 2, 2018 at 10:00 am to answer to all charges.
