Terrace Bay Couple Charged with Defrauding School Board

SCHREIBER, ON – On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, representatives of the Superior North Catholic District School Board (SNCDSB) contacted the Schreiber Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to report a fraud by two staff members.

As a result of the investigation into these allegations Mary Alexa McKINNON, 57-years-old, and Rodney McKINNON, 55-years-old, both of Terrace Bay, Ontario, were arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Fraud over $5000 contrary to section 380(1)(a); and
  • Breach of Trust contrary to section 122.

Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Schreiber on July 12, 2018.
