Crossover Video Recognized by MDCC, Carl Clutchey Wins! & New Movie Releases & Trailers
Movies and games are our specialty, and every now and then, a movie comes along that is based on a game making it all the more relevant to us and our customers. Way back in 1996 (well before we were around) a video game called Tomb Raider was launched for the original Playstation. The game featured protagonist Lara Croft as she embarked on adventures through the rain forest. The video game franchise has lived on with the most recent game launching for the Playstation 4 last year. In 2001, it was announced that Tomb Raider would be released in movie form starring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. The movie franchise would gain its own fame with a sequel coming out two years after the original. Fast forward to today and Lara Croft is back on the big screen- this time showcasing Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander in the starring role. The 2018 installment of Tomb Raider is this week’s headline new release alongside five other titles. Below is a brief synopsis of each new title;

An Ordinary Man: starring Ben Kingsley- An infamous war criminal, on the run from international authorities, forms an unlikely relationship with a maid residing at his new hiding spot. (Drama/Thriller) (DVD)
