An Ocean of New Releases at Crossover Video + New In-Store, Videogame Releases and MORE!
In 2001, we were introduced to charismatic thief Danny Ocean and his crew of likeable conmen. Less than 24 hours into his parole, Danny was already orchestrating his next plot- an elaborate and seemingly impossible heist. Starring George Clooney in the main role and featuring other big names like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts, Ocean’s Eleven became an immediate hit resulting in 2 sequels aptly titled Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen. Fast forward to 2018, and the Ocean name is back in the forefront- except this time, it’s Danny’s sister Debbie at the helm. Starring Sandra Bullock, Ocean’s Eight is this week’s headline new release alongside four other titles. Below is a brief synopsis of each;
Ocean’s Eight: starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway- Debbie Ocean assembles an all female crew to pull off the seemingly impossible heist of a 150 million dollar diamond necklace at New York City’s Met Gala. Distorted: starring John Cusack and Christina Ricci- Soon after moving into her new smart apartment, fully equipped with a state-of the-art CCTV system, a young woman suspects that the building’s owner may have sinister intentions. (Action/Mystery) (DVD)
Looking Glass: starring Nicolas Cage- In search of a new beginning, a couple buys an old motel in the remote desert. Soon after, they find a strange two-way mirror and witness a horrific murder leading to a game of cat and mouse in a desperate attempt to save their lives. (Thriller) (DVD)
Scooby Doo and the Gourmet Ghost: featuring the voice of Bobby Flay- Scooby and the crew investigate the haunting of a historic Inn that has been turned into a culinary resort. (Kids/Animated)
