Crossover Video’s Weekly New Release Movies & Videogames + New In-Store
We’ve touched on it before, but there are some movie franchises that have enjoyed success spanning decades while earning billions of dollars at the box office. Jurassic Park is one of those franchises. Way back in 1993, movie goers were treated to the first of the Jurassic Park movies featuring impressive special effects for that time. The dinosaur flick was so popular that it resulted in two sequels with the last releasing in 2001. In 2015, it was announced that the franchise would be rebooted and Jurassic World released later that year. This week, the sequel to the reboot is our headline new release.
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom debuts alongside six other titles, with a brief synopsis of each below;
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom: starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard- When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire begin a mission to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from extinction. Bleeding Steel: starring Jackie Chan- A special agent learns that a biochemical invention has been surgically implanted into his missing daughter and with help from a hacker, he tries to connect the dots between the device, a sinister army and a strange phenomenon. Leisure Seeker: starring Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland- Traveling in their vintage recreational vehicle, an older couple take one last road trip from Boston to the Florida Keys before his Alzheimer’s and her cancer can catch up with them. (Drama/Romance) (DVD)
Billionaire Boys Club: starring Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton and Emma Roberts- Based on a TRUE STORY! In the early 1980’s a group of wealthy young men in Los Angeles develop a get-rich-quick scheme that soon turns deadly. (Drama/Thriller) (DVD)
Fahrenheit 451: starring Michael B Jordan and Michael Shannon- In the not too distant future, a fireman, whose job is to burn all books, begins to question his actions after meeting a young woman who rebels against society. Lean on Pete: starring Charlie Plummer and Steve Buscemi- When a teenager learns that the horse he is caring for is bound for slaughter, the two embark on an asventure across the new American frontier in search of a place to call home. (Drama/Adventure) (DVD)
