This week’s headline new release brings into focus a dark chapter in Canadian history. Although the subject matter makes for an emotional watch, “Indian Horse” is arguably the most important movie released this year as it tackles the story of a boy who faces the perils of a residential school in the 1970’ and 80’s. Also debuting this week is the latest installment in the epic Star Wars saga which centers around the popular character Han Solo- aptly titled “Solo”. There are a total four new releases this week, with a brief synopsis of each below

Solo: starring Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson and Donald Glover- During an adventure into the criminal underworld, Han Solo meets future co-pilot Chewbacca while encountering Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebellion. Gotti: starring John Travolta- Based on a TRUE STORY! The story of John Gotti, the ruthless mobster who built a criminal empire, and his son who chooses a different path in an effort to redeem the family name. (Crime/Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Uncle Drew: starring Kyrie Irving, Lil Rey Howery, Shaquille O’Neal and Tiffany Haddish- After spending his life savings to enter a team into a prestigious basketball tournament, a man convinces a retired legend to join his squad. (Comedy) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
