Summer Blockbuster Movies at Crossover Video and Congratulations to Marathon’s Nadine Thomson
Well it’s that time of the year. The leaves are turning yellow, the days are getting shorter, and the geese are being spotted in grassy fields as they prepare to fly south. Yes it’s September – bad news for hot weather lovers but good news for the movie lovers. As fall approaches, many of the summer’s big blockbuster movie hits start releasing on DVD and Blu-Ray. Over the next couple months, keep an eye out for big titles like; Ocean’s 8, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, Indian Horse, Sicario 2, Hotel Transylvania 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Mamma Mia 2 and Skyscraper! Sticking with the here and now, this week’s marks the debut of six new releases. Below is a brief synopsis of each;
Hereditary: starring Toni Collette and Alex Wolff- After the death of a family member, a grieving family is haunted by a series of increasingly disturbing events- leading to the exposing of a terrifying and dark secret. (Horror/Mystery) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Yellow Birds: starring Jennifer Aniston, Tye Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich- A young soldier returns from serving in Iraq where a series of tragic incidents left him tormented and unstable. (Drama/War) (DVD)
Another Wolfcop: starring Leo Fafard- An alcoholic werewolf cop springs back into action when an evil businessman seduces the town’s residents with a new hockey team and brewery. (Comedy/Action) (DVD)
Lake Placid Legacy: starring Katherine Barrell and Tim Rozon- A team of researchers explore a mysterious lake where a deadly predator waits to feast on those who dare to visit. (Horror/Action) (DVD)
Disobedience: starring Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz- After being shunned for her attraction to a female friend, a woman returns to her Jewish Orhodox community only to find their passion reignited. (Drama/Romance)(DVD)
Hostile: starring Brittany Ashworth- The lone survivor in an apocalyptic era finds herself fighting against hunger, a broken leg and a terrifying creature that only comes out at night. (Horror/Drama) (DVD)
