Diving Superior’s Shipwrecks – Free December 4th

A presentation entitled, “Diving Superior’s Shipwrecks” will take place at 7 p.m., December 4th in ATAC building, room 1001 at Lakehead UniversityInfosuperior, Parks Canada’s Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area and Thunder Country Diving are cooperating to host the event.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. Evening parking at Lakehead University is also free of charge and available right beside the ATAC building. The event is part of Parks Canada’s #WeLoveSuperior series, which aims to draw appreciation and understanding for Lake Superior’s unique natural and cultural heritage. Past presentations have included talks on peregrine falcons by Brian Ratcliff, Lake Superior maritime history by Bill Skrepichuk and even Lake Superior surfing by Chris Dube. 

Come out on December 4th to learn about the challenges of diving in the cold waters of Lake Superior and the stories behind Superior’s deep water wrecks.
