Manitouwadge’s “Gnome Homes”

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Township of Manitouwadge Community Programmer Reene Warren had, in the town’s June newsletter, put out the call for local residents interested in combining their creativity and community spirit by creating “Gnome Homes”.

Referring to it as “Adopt-a-Stump” Warren had explained that the idea was to claim one of 5 large tree stumps located in Agawa Gardens (grassy area running parallel to the road of the same name and the hill on Oshweeken Road) to transform it into a whimsical gnome home. The town provides some items however participants are responsible for any additional items they need, maintaining the installation throughout the summer and removing it prior to winter.

To date, only 2 of the 5 stumps have been ‘adopted’, if you are interested in expressing your creativity to transform one of the 3 remaining stumps contact Reene Warren for more information.
