Greenstone Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of Drugs Valued in Excess of $185,000 and Multiple Charges

GREENSTONE, ON – Members of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the North West Regional Crime Unit performed a traffic stop on New Year’s Eve which resulted in the seizure of 531.8 grams of Crystal Meth and 261 grams of Cocaine with a street value of $185,540.00, as well as a quantity of cash totalling $6621.25.

Arrested and subsequently charged are 28 year old Marc QUIRON and 30 year old Marlee FOURNIER of Greenstone. Both accused are charged with three counts of Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act and Possess Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 contrary to Section 354 1(a) of the Criminal Code.

Both accused were remanded into custody and transported to Thunder Bay awaiting a court date.
