WEATHER WARNING: Mararthon – Schreiber, Nipigon – Rossport

Snowfall warning in effect for:
- Marathon – Schreiber (Scroll down for Nipigon – Rossport)
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected by Thursday morning.
Lake enhanced snow will develop along the northern shore of Lake Superior this morning and spread to the eastern shore in the afternoon.
This snow combined with moderate winds could result in blowing snow, reducing visibilities considerably.
Travel may become particularly hazardous along Highway 17 between Terrace Bay and Batchawana Bay.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for today.
Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected by Thursday morning.
Lake enhanced snow will develop along the northern shore of Lake Superior this morning and taper off overnight tonight.
This snow combined with moderate winds could result in reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
Difficult winter travel conditions are expected, particularly along Highway 17 and Highway 11 south of Beardmore. Slow down and use caution while driving.
