The Superior North Catholic District School Board students at all grade levels had a chance to participate in the Gichigiiwedin (gi-CHI-gee-WAY-din) Winter Games. From Monday, March 22nd to Wednesday, March 31st, 24 classes and over 321 students learned about and tried several different Inuit and First Nations games.

This was a great opportunity to participate in asynchronous pre-planned activities to support belonging, physical, mental well-being, getting outside and having fun! The games were also used to meet curricular expectations. Some games were held indoors and others were outdoors! Some games were done in the classroom and others virtually (for remote learners)! All games followed our current COVID-19 guidelines.
