SNCDSB Digital Portfolio

Superior North Catholic District School Board is supporting students’ pathway to success through the implementation of digital portfolios. The Ministry of Education has provided a tool for school boards to support students’ ability to document and reflect on their own learning. The Brightspace Portfolio tool is linked to students’ Ontario Education Number that will follow students year over year and to any school board in Ontario. The digital tool empowers students to identify what they would like to document and reflect on their work.

The board has set the strategic priority that each student will have their own digital portfolio to support students to identify who they want to become. The digital portfolio work started in February with a student-facing workshop for students to learn how to access and upload their work to their digital portfolio. A contest was held throughout the spring to encourage students to upload their very best work to their digital portfolio. Four classrooms won a pizza party and Ozobot for their classroom. Congratulations to Mrs. Deroy, Mrs. Dupuis, Mrs. Belin-Knox and Mrs. Baker classrooms!

SNCDSB is looking forward to continuing its work to support students’ pathways to success through the 2021-2022 school year.
