Manitouwadge High Recognizes Veteran Alumni

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Prior to Remembrance Day 2021 Manitouwadge High School Principal Jody Kuczynskiput out a request on Facebook for previous grads of MNHS and MPS who went on to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. Kuczynski put together the video above of those identified as veterans from among Manitouwadge High and Manitouwadge Public School Alumni. Unfortunately the video is not able to be embedded at this time (ONN has reached out to the High School about this) but you are encouraged to go watch the video by CLICKING HERE.

Today we had our Remembrance Day Ceremony. I had reached out to the community for names of former students that have or are serving in the armed forces…here’s what we were able to come up with. We have done our best to make sure the dates, etc are correct – but as we weren’t able to be in direct contact with everyone named, if you see something that needs correcting, please contact Jody Kuczynski (jkuczynski@sgsb.on.ca). It has been humbling to see how many of our MNHS members have taken up the call to protect and serve our great nation. As I said to the students earlier – we may sometimes feel that we are small and removed – but we can be an important and integral part of big things, if we take the steps. I have used “Highway of Heroes” by The Trews in the video.
