Wawa Resident Charged After Alleged Hit And Run

WAWA, ON – On February 23, 2022 at approximately 2:47 p.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Mission Road in Wawa.

Following the collision, one vehicle fled the scene.

Through investigation, the driver was located by police. As a result, Brandon BINDA, 35-years-of-age, of Wawa was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Failure to stop after accident, contrary to section 320.16(1) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 4, 2022 in Wawa.
