NFMC Donates Tech to Manitouwadge High School

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Last week, Manitouwadge High School (MNHS) students and staff welcomed Nawiinginokiima Forest Management Corporation (NFMC) General Manager Carmelo Notarbartolo.

Nortabartolo shared a presentation with students from several classes and also had something to leave with the students as the NFMC donated an Oculus 2 Virtual Reality (VR) Headset System to Manitouwadge High School. Downloaded onto the headsets is information about a variety of careers- ie: Journeymen, Mining and Forestry.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to use the VR system during my Outdoor Education class next year.”

The headset will provide students with a virtual reality 360 viewing experience of each career.
