Greenstone OPP Charge Longlac Resident with Sexual Assault

LONGLAC, ON – Members of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with sexual assault and investigators want to hear from anyone who may have information related to the case.

A female indicated she was sexual assaulted in a vehicle in Longlac on October 25, 2022, after accepting a ride. The victim was able to exit the vehicle and immediately called 911.

Officers in the area responded and made an arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Gaetan VIVIER, 72 years-old, of Longlac has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 271 of the Criminal Code.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Longlac on November 30, 2022.
