after party…

Well, the big skate carnival weekend has come and gone and I survived! lol… It was a lot of fun (despite one dissapointment, read ‘photo day’) Emeraude did very well as did all the skaters. At Saturday night’s show she didn’t even fall at all! Sunday she & her friend of the same age had a little fall during one of their numbers but recovered well and continued without any trouble which was AWESOME and a great example of Kim’s attitude (she always includes every child and makes sure the kids are  focused on having  fun!!).

After the show, I took a few photos of the group and then it was time to

come home. I brought the kids home, helped Lloyd get started on a bit of tidying and got Emeraude undressed, flowers in vase, ballons untangled etc then snuck out to pick up her cake from Linda Hedderson (best cakes in town!!) I was SO thrilled when I saw it, I had emailed a photo of Emeraude’s skates to Linda hoping she could use the same colours – WELL – as usual she went way beyond that! The skate she created on the cake was identical, right down to the hearts on the velcro!!! Emeraude

was THRILLED when, after we had pizza in the living room (this is a special treat) while watching ‘Myth Busters, Lloyd brought out the cake. It was the perfect end to a perfect night, well almost the end.

Emeraude loves taking showers with brother so with our dessert finished, Lloyd ran to put on some shorts and invited Emeraude to enjoy a shower (she likes to have him sit so she can wash his hair). Afterwards she & I read a few books (standard bedtime protocol hee hee) and she was out like a light!
