Easter Bunny leads Egg Hunt

Community Easter Party

Can you guess who these mysterious bunnies are????

Saturday, March 27th, the Manitouwadge Best Start Hub organized a Community Easter Party at the Rec Centre Auditorium as a fundraiser for the Brass Bell High School Bursary Fund which awards bursaries to High School Graduates entering a field involving children.

The Party was very well organized and included fun for kids of all ages with:

§         Face painting with local artist Vickie Rusard;

§         Easter crafts including bunny masks, popsicle stick chick puppets and of course egg hunt bags with the Hub’s French Language Programmer Linda Jetté;

§         A pasta lunch including salad, buns and refreshments;

and of course the feature of the afternoon, the Easter Bunnies appearance and subsequent Egg Hunt.

The huge group of children and parents in attendance was divided in two to facilitate the hunt.  One group led by the Hub’s Prenatal Programmer Reene Warren and the other guided by Hub Program Coordinator Kelly Sagle. Children flooded out of the auditorium and into the hallways, Library, and Rec Centre Lobby giggling and cheering as they found eggs; afterwards they returned to the auditorium to trade in their eggs for loot bags with chocolate eggs and bubble mix from the Easter Bunny. Though I didn’t see her, there were rumours that Becky Gorges was also involved as a volunteer at the party. To view more photos from the Easter Party, visit www.OntarioNewsNorth.com/?p=10118.
