Schreiber's 125th Committee meeting March 29th, 2010

Pictured are members of Schreiber’s 125th committee during their regular meeting Monday, March 29th.   Among agenda items discussed at the meeting were the ongoing Photo Contest being coordinated by the Schreiber Public Library;  progression of planning for Opening Ceremonies; updates regarding businesses and organizations contributing to the Grab Bags as well as a current listing of those planning to participate in the Parade and much more.  The group is clearly working diligently to ensure the big week will run without a hitch, rain or shine!

The most exciting news of the night came from an announcement made by Colleen Gauthier who had been contacted by Don Brosseau from CP Rail’s Head Office in Calgary. Brosseau confirmed that Canadian Pacific Railway’s
Heritage Train
will be making the trip to Schreiber for the 125th Celebrations.  Details of ride times, ticket availability and date confirmation has yet to be released but this will certainly be one of the highlights of the anniversary week which residents across the Northshore will be traveling to
Schreiber to enjoy!

It was great to sit in on this meeting and see how this large group comes together to encourage and support each other's projects and progress.
