OLOL Family Picnic a Success!

Parishioners Picnic Party

This Pirate Parishioner enjoyed the games with family and friends all afternoon.

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Sunday May 30th, the members of Our Lady of Lourdes (OLOL) Parish and other community members were entertained at the church’s 1st annual Family Day Picnic.

The day began with a casual “bring your own lunch” picnic enjoyed on the community track field across the street from the church.  There were prizes for the most creative hat, craziest family (the ‘Willigies’), and much more! Stations were set-up allowing the families to challenge and each other at various games.

Young and old had the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and share a care-free afternoon of fun in the sun as the Lord blessed all with ideal weather for the occasion.

Many thanks go to the parishioners who kindly donated prizes and to Debbie Arola and the Children’s Liturgy Leaders for their efforts to put on this fabulous first! Plans are already underway, in light of the overwhelming success and support for this event, to have many more in the not-to-distant future.
