Red Lake Fire 32 is Being Held at 4417ha. Crews continue to extinguish hot spots. No probelms are anticipated.

The eight monitored fires caused by lightening, continue to burn with no problems anticipated. The rain we are getting will likely end of these fires.

In the East Fire Region at 12:01 am June 04 there were portions of the Restricted Fire Zone rescinded. Areas west of Wawa such as Pic River, Marathon, Manitouwadge, and White River are no longer under the Restricted Fire Zone. However, it remains in effect for the Sault St. Marie, Sudbury and North Bay areas due to lack of rain. There is no restricted fire zone in the West Fire Region and outdoor fires are allowed provided people follow the proper outdoor burning guidelines. www.ontario.ca/fireprevention
