Concerts in the Parking Lot
MARATHON, ON – Wednesday, August 4th Andy & Beverlee Coulter’s Concerts in the Parking Lot entertainment series welcomed Toronto-based, independent singer-songwriter Jory Nash to their sidewalk stage.
In spite of cold temperatures, drizzling rain which developped into dark clouds, thunder, lightening, and even a power surge which caused a momentary power outage which the crowd cheered him on to sing right through, Nash played on and his fans stuck by him.
Nash’s very unique, deep, rolling, and sincerely mezmerizing voice, captured the audience throughout as he shared stories of life on the road between his own songs and those of other legendary canadian artists.
His music blends elements of folk, jazz, pop, country, soul & blues in a combination that could not possibly be imitated and though I captured a short clip to share (below) it does not do justice to the variety of styles he shared and I would strongly encourage anyone attending the Live from the Rock Festival, this weekend in Red Rock, to take in one of his performances there.
This isn’t Nash’s first time at the Live from the Rock festival, he says he loves performing there and describes it as having a “unique vibe…warm and edgy at the same time”. Nash is looking forward to connecting with friends made last time he attended.
Nash’s Live From the Rock schedule of appearances consists of:
- mainstaging on friday night around 7:30pm
- playing 4 workshops throughout the weekend
- hosting the mainstage concert on saturday night (he might even do a tune or two then as well)
