Downtown Revitalization Update

The downtown revitalization project in Terrace Bay is moving forward with a great deal of work being done on the lighthouse attraction and the new entrance signage.  The lighthouse area has been cleared of trees and the foundation has been poured and backfilled in with some concrete finishing still taking place.  The Municipal entrance sign areas have been cleared and the foundation has been poured and the required level of fill has been added to build up around the concrete supports.  The Eastern entrance sign area is where the Aguasabon Falls highway sign was and the Western entrance sign is directly before Hydro Bay.  The work in the Simcoe Plaza area in front of the businesses has begun with the marking of areas for demolition and the beginning of demolition work.  LTL Contracting Ltd. is the general contractor for the project and will be posting regular updates on a whiteboard featured in the window of 29 Simcoe Plaza.  Additionally, artists drawings of the work to be completed will also be on display in the windows at 29 Simcoe Plaza for tourists and residents to learn about the project. For more information on the project, please visit the page online which features regular updates and pictures at www.terracebay.ca/drp.
