Fall Family Fitness a Success

These two girls had a blast racing with giant soccer balls as parents and Best Start Hub staff cheered them on.

MANITOUWADGE, ON –Ontario Early Years Centre Manitouwadge Best Start Hub’s Gross Motor Family Fitness first fall sessions have wrapped up.  2010 was the first year which the program was offered in the Fall in addition to the 8 week winter session held earlier in the year and response was very positive.

Last Tuesday, October 18th Program  Coordinator Kelly Sagle and French Language Programmer Linda Jetté welcomed parents of children 2 to 5 years old for the final hour of fun games and exercises focused on developing pre-school aged children’s bourgeoning gross motor skills.  Giant soccer balls, hoola hoops, races and more kept kids and adults giggling throughout.  A healthy snack was offered to those in attendance and children were happy to receive stickers before heading home.

If you would like to attend Gross Motor Family Fitness sessions this winter,  or any of the other great drop-ins and special programs at the Manitouwadge Best Start Hub contact Kelly Sagle at 826-2883 or pick up a Best Start Hub Newsletter at 51 Oshweeken or at many Manitouwadge retailers.
