Manitouwadge Public School News
Recently our students were treated to a fun trip to Marathon – compliments of Skills Canada and Williams Operating Cooperation. The students grouped themselves into two teams of four and designed a boat that was built from cardboard. This boat was to be structurally designed to hold their weight – while in the water!!!!! After some coaching and hard work off they went across the Porthole swimming pool in Marathon paddling with their arms and laughing ‘straight from the belly’!!! They actually did quite well on their trip across the water – but eventually their ship did go down and they got a good dunking! They certainly had a fun time and didn’t even realize that once again they were learning something valuable!!
