OPP RACT & Combined Forces Seize Prescription Pills

POLICE EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANT

THUNDER BAY, ON – February 23, 2011 Drug Enforcement Unit officers assisted by members of the Ontario Provincial Police Rural and Agricultural Crime Team (RACT) executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrant at a residence on Queen Street..

While executing the warrant a quantity of prescription pills was seized.

As a result of the investigation two males were arrested.  One male was released unconditionally.

42 year old James Elrick WHITE of Thunder Bay was held for a show cause hearing.  He is charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance

The Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit consists of members from The Thunder Bay Police Service, The O.P.P. Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, The R.C.M.P., The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and The Anishinabek Police Service.
