MANITOUWADGE, ON – Thursday, March 10th Devan Pelletier, organizer of the 2011 Big Air Rail Jam at Kiwissa was hard at work designing and creating the freestyle course which will challenge snowboarders and skiers from accross the region tomorrow.  Pelletier, with the help of friends and Kiwissa Manager Dave Young on the groomer, worked for hours to prepare a unique course that will be both challenging for teen and adult boarders and skiers but also able to accomodate younger enthusiasts brave enough to face the challenge.

Pelletier was inspired to organize the Big Air Rail Jam After skiing Whistler llast summer and has been working for months to promote accross the Northshore even acquiring sponsors from as far as Thunder Bay (Ski Exchange & Static Sports).  Among those coming to compete and display their skills for the crowd will be two riders being sponsored by Static Sports, no doubt they will raise the bar and inspire local youth competiting in the rail jam. Entry fee for participants is just a Lift Ticket (see link below for lift costs) and non-perishable food item for the Manitouwadge Food Bank.

Pelletier had a long list of sponsors he wished to thank, included among them were Dallaire Welding, the Township of Manitouwadge, Kiwissa Ski Club, Static Sports, Ski-Exchange and OntarioNewsNorth.com.
