OPP CHARGE MARATHON MAN WITH POSSESSION, ACCESSING, MAKING AVAILABLE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
MARATHON, ON – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Section (Project “P”), Electronic Crime Section and Marathon Detachment have arrested and charged a Marathon man following on-line undercover child pornography investigation.
April 7, 2011 police executed a search warrant at a Marathon residence. As a result of this investigation, 3 computers were seized which contain movies of child sexual abuse.
April 7, 2011, police arrested Reginald BEGIN, 71 years-old of the Town of Marathon, Ontario. He is charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Making Available Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography. The Accused will appear for a bail hearing on the April 8, 2011 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
