Holy Angels Students Celebrate First Communion

Holy Angels School 2011 First Communion recipients.

SCHREIBER, ON – Sunday, May 1, 2011 students from Mrs. Bolan’s Grade 2 class from Holy Angels Roman Catholic School celebrated the Sacrament of First Communion. The three boys receiving their First Eucharist were Michael Costa, Wyatt MacEwen, and Liam Speziale. They did an excellent job as readers and participating in the mass. The celebration was joyous and was complemented by the beautiful singing of the school choir.

The students prepared for this special occasion by carrying out their First Penance and deepening their understanding of their faith, as well as participating and growing closer to God in various activities throughout the year on their First Communion.

The celebration was officiated by Father Alex and Father Ronald.  It was celebrated and enjoyed by family and friends, and the large congregation in attendance.

The students received certificates and gifts from Father Alex and Mrs. Bolan as well as received rosaries from the Catholic Woman’s League. Following the celebration, everyone was invited to Holy Angels Parish Church basement where they enjoyed a wonderful brunch thanks to the Catholic Women’s League.

Congratulations to our First Communion Candidates!
