– Monday, June 11th, OntarioNewsNorth.com Editor/Publisher Karina Hunter had the opportunity to speak with Marathon Summerfest 2011 Entertainment Director, Keith Johnson about the plans unfolding for two dances during the 10 day festival which kicks off July 1st.

MANITOUWADGE, ON

Watch the interview below to learn more about the Summerfest Dances, each night includes live entertainment with local musicians (both events include members from either Marathon or Manitouwadge) while the 2nd dance is headlined by a very popular Thunder Bay band! 

The first dance being held Saturday, June 2nd has Cheap ‘n Easy  and  The Shocking Truth opening the festival and celebrating a great day of angling on the largest freshwater lake in the world, an event a.k.a. the Summerfest 2011 Fish Derby.  The dance on the final weekend, Saturday, July 9th, provides momentum for 4 more days of Summerfest (ends June 12th) while celebrating the successes of the day’s 2011 Tri-Sport Event headlined by Thunder Bay musicians The Hoolies
