The Master of Movies, Victor of Videos, Great-Gaming-Guru Tyler Davis (oh yeah, he's the Owner of Crossover Video & Games as well).

It seems as though July just started, however, we are more than half way through the month and it is about time to start thinking about August.

In August, we will be treated to several big hit movies including Rio, Soul Surfer, Paul, Something Borrowed and many more! Please keep in mind that we can pre-order movies so if any titles from August pique your interest, please call or email us and we will pre-order a copy for you!

For now, let’s see what debuts on DVD and Blu-Ray this week…

NEW RELEASES

Limitless: starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro- A struggling writer discovers a top-secret drug which gives him abilities to do things that he could never do before. (Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Tekken: Based on the video game franchise- A man witnesses the death of his mother by Tekken in the slums known as Anvil. After finding a Tekken ID he decides to seek out vengeance for his mother’s death. (Action) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Blood Out: Starring Val Kilmer- When big city detectives refuse to further investigate his kid brother’s gang related murder, small town Sheriff Michael Spencer drops the badge and goes undercover to find his brother’s killer and avenge his death. (Action) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

A Film with Me In It: A struggling wannabe actor must come to his senses and straighten out his life after an awful accident. (Comedy) (DVD)

Largo Winch Ultimatum: starring Sharon Stone- Largo Winch, the newly appointed CEO of the W Group, is accused of crimes against humanity on the very day he announces his intention to sell his corporation and use the proceeds to create a humanitarian foundation. (Action) (DVD)

Life During Wartime: starring Alison Janney- Friends, family, and lovers struggle to find love, forgiveness, and meaning in a war-torn world (Drama) (DVD)

Mayor Cupcake: starring Lea Thompson- A hard-working cupcake maker is inadvertently elected mayor of a small town burdened with debt. Uneducated, she relies on her street smarts to clean up the town. (Comedy/Drama) (DVD)

Peep World: starring Michael C. Hall- At the their Father’s 70th birthday party, four siblings come to terms with the publication of a novel written by the youngest sibling, that exposes the family’s most intimate secrets. (Comedy) (DVD)

Sword of War: starring Rutger Hauer- An Emperor will stop at nothing to conquer and build his empire. But a young man from Milan, along with his army of 900 men known as the Company of Death, is prepared to challenge him. (Action/Mideival) (DVD)

FOR THE GAMERS:

Call of Juarez: The Cartel- The third instalment of the popular Call of Juarez franchise, “The Cartel” is set in modern day Mexico and Los Angeles. Players take the role of various law enforcement agents who are attempting to curb the rampant drug trade between USA and Mexico (PS3 and 360)

Captain America: Super Soldier- With the upcoming Captain America movie soon to hit theatres, it only makes perfect sense for there to be a Captain America game! “Super Soldier” is loosely based on the movie’s plot and is a third person shooter in which Captain America uses his trademark shield to fight crime and solve mysteries. (PS3, 360 and WII)
