DRIVING COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

WAWA, ON – July 6, 2011 at 9:55 pm Superior East OPP in Wawa received a complaint from a motorist reporting a yellow pick-up truck driving erratically on Highway 17 approximately 40 kms south of Wawa.  A patrol was made and the described vehicle was located in the northbound ditch with a female driver and two young children in the vehicle.  Investigation at the scene revealed that the driver showed obvious signs of impairment.  As a result of subsequent breath tests, readings of over twice the legal limit of alcohol content were obtained.   Thirty-four year old Paula Jean BUZZEO of EDMONTON, Alberta stands charged with;

  1. Have Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
  2. Exceed 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content

The accused was released with a court date of September 19, 2011 at Wawa.  Her Driver’s Licence was seized along with the involved 2005 Dodge Truck.
