MARATHON, ON– Another season of activities and sports is upon us. The Marathon Gymnastics Club is ready for another great season under the leadership and skill of Head Coach Connie Ross, and with the help of certified Coaches Amanda Blanch and Victoria Wells will continue to grow and develop the club and it’s gymnasts. “We really appreciate our head coach Connie Ross; if it wasn’t for her the club wouldn’t be able to continue.” said parent and volunteer Louise Paris Blanch.

The Marathon Gymnastics Club will be holding registration for it’s 1st session, beinning October 3rd and running through to December, at the Marathon Centre Mall, September 13th, 14th, 15th and again the following week; September 20th , 21st and 22nd from 6pm to 8pm.

The club is also looking for dedicated coaches; if you are interested please contact Monique @ 229-1166 of Louise/Amanda @ 229-1653 after 4pm. It is very important that the Club find replacements for Coaches Amanda Blanch and Wells as they will be going on to post secondary studies before we know it (likely fall of 2012).

**Note from the Editor: Last season, my daughter Emeraude was the only gymnast from Manitouwadge in her class though I would’ve been glad to car-pool if anyone else was involved. Parents from neighbouring communities should note that with the sessions being in 12 week increments it means that you can opt out for the winter session when weather can be a challenge for travelling and just let your child participate in the Fall & Spring sessions.
