MPP Michael Gravelle Pleased Premier Is Prioritizing Northern Ontario

NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO – Election Night (October 6, 2011) OntarioNewsNorth.com Editor Karina Hunter spoke with successful candidates from Algoma-Manitoulin (NDP Michael Mantha) and Thunder Bay-Superior North (Liberal Michael Gravelle) the first interview was via Skype frome Elliot Lake and can be seen below; while we spoke with Mr.Gravelle spoke via telephone from Thunder Bay.

Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle was enthusiastically looking forward to the work ahead, grateful for the confidence shown in him by voters. We spoke with Minister Gravelle from where his campaign team were watching the numbers be tallied and receiving the news of his success “Well i’m just absolutely thrilled to have received this support from my constituents again, it is a job that I feel is more like a mission or vocation.” explained Gravelle in regards to the passion he has been described as having for the region both as Thunder Bay-Superior North and in his position of Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forests. He continued “To be given this opportunity for a 5th term. Well there’s no question that i’m very very pleased to be part of the Dalton McGuinty team! The Premier has made Northern Ontario a priority again. To have this 3rd term focus on opportunities in Northern Ontario I think the premier did a great job sending the message that we have a solid plan for Northern Ontario.” said Gravelle.
