HORNEPAYNE FESTIVE R.I.D.E. RESULTS IN AN OVER 80 CHARGE

HORNEPAYNE, ON–  November 24, 2012 at 1:45 am the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Hornepayne Detachment officers were conducting R.I.D.E. checks at the corner of First Street and Sixth Avenue.  A vehicle was observed stopped on Sixth Avenue with the engine running, facing the wrong way on a two way street and it did not approach the intersection.  OPP officers attended the location of the GMC pickup truck and spoke with the driver.  The investigating officer detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver.  Upon failing a roadside breath test, the driver, Justin RIVERS a 24-year-old male from Hornepayne was arrested and escorted to OPP detachment for further breath tests.

As a result the accused stands charged with Driver Motor Vehicle with over 80 mgs of Alcohol.  He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Hornepayne Criminal Court on February 7, 2013.
