TERRACE BAY, ON – January 25, 2013 the students, staff, and parents of St. Martin School celebrated Family Literacy Day.

The day began with two teachers, Dave Mauro and Mary Keyter, reading a lively rendition of “The Gruffalo” to staff, students, and parents.  The students’ then moved into their ‘School Families’ and traveled to stations where they either participated against other ‘School Families’ in a Pictionary Tournament or collaborated together to form as many words as possible using the letters from the word ‘Literacy’.

CONGRATULATIONS! To the winners of the Word Find competition; Alexis Ray, Hannah St. Louis, Rogan Tustin, and Cam Sutherland with an extraordinary 49 words!

A Love of Reading is definitely alive and visible in the halls of St. Martin School!
