MANITOUWADGE WOMAN CHARGED WITH CONCEALING BODY OF A CHILD

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Tracey Lynn Shearer has been charged following a police investigation reported to have begun two years ago when she was admitted to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre under what the police have referred to as “unusual circumstances.” Shearer, 34 yrs of age, has been charged with “Concealing the Body of a Child” (See official OPP release below) and is scheduled to appear appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Manitouwadge, ON March 27th.

Though many rumours have circulated in the community regarding details of this matter over the course of the past two years,  no other details about the case are being released by OPP.

MANITOUWADGE, ON – March 1, 2011, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in response to a female having been admitted to hospital under unusual circumstances.  An investigation was conducted by the OPP North West Region Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter Loree of the Criminal Investigation Branch.

As a result of this investigation, Tracey Lynn SHEARER, age 34 years of Manitouwadge, Ontario has been charged with Concealing the Body of a Child, contrary to Section 243 of the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Manitouwadge, ON on March 27, 2013.
