NIPIGON OPP CHARGE IMPAIRED DRIVER AT R.I.D.E. PROGRAM

NIPIGON, ON – April 21, 2013 at 2:33 a.m. officers from the Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment were conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Third St. in the town of Nipigon. A pick-up truck was the first vehicle to enter the R.I.D.E. program. Upon speaking to the driver, officers found that the driver had been drinking.

The 42 year old female driver, Susie NICHOLSON of Thunder Bay, Ontario was arrested and transported to the Nipigon Detachment for further investigation.  As a result, the female was charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content contrary to the Criminal Code.  The female is to appear in Nipigon Court on June 25, 2013 to answer to the charge.
